The email's opening lines are the ones that are the most telling: "Now, in an absence of any new camera announcements from Pentax, we've turned to the camera that Pentax should have made: the Fuji X10."
This snotty tone combined with other actions, like getting a petition going to Ricoh/Pentax for a full frame DSLR, would seem to indicate that Pentax Forums is "feeling their oats" (as we say in farm country). Tail attempting to wag the dog. They seem to be overestimating their clout with Ricoh/Pentax. Or maybe they are just rediscovering that controversy sells newspapers (or web site forums).
