Darren, P-TTL is hit-or-miss at the best of times, but trying to
measure light bounced back from a bird's breast at the distances Paul
is dealing with -- forget it! Manual settings are necessary in this
situation.

Were you using a flash extender like a Better Beamer here, Paul?
