Of course, that's doable, but it wouldn't make much sense -- too much
work for just aesthetics.

I actually realized that what I wanted wouldn't be possible to do in LR. 
I just didn't think thoroughly before asking the question in the first
place.
It is not LR that identifies the lens, but rather the camera body.
LR works with the lens name that is already recorded in EXIF.
Also, unfortunately, it doesn't have "conditional" metadata handling
(e.g. if lens' name is "A" change it to "B").

So, it would be the body firmware that would need to be patched,
and that is not going to happen.

Oh, well...
