Good stuff, Charles.  I've always enjoyed your concert work.

I think in general I agree with your points below, but I would think the sports 
photographer would be expected to get game winning catches, baskets, key 
turnovers in football, etc.  You can't leave those moments to chance--and to be 
sure shooting a lot helps minimize the risk of not getting the key moment shot. 
 I wonder what it was like in the film days for the sports photographer?  All I 
can say is that for me glad I'm shooting digital.  :-)  cheers, Christine
