This happens to me all the time since I migrate my Lr setup back and
forth between two computers using rsync and even though the folder
layout *should* be the same, Lr doesn't respect symbolic links, grrrr
(If you're not a unix/linux weenie, don't worry about the jargon, it's
not important).  '

Anyhow, what I wanted to say is, Lr is awfully good about not getting
too upset when it can't find a file, and usually doesn't need too much
help to get back in sync. -T
