Aw, Didn't think that for a minute - got upset out of proportion as it was on top of other worrisome stuff.

Glad you managed to fix it yourself. I've opted out of this continual
upgrade cycle that infects Firefox (and Thunderbird) lately, especially
as each upgrade seems to break some add-ons. I'm still using Firefox
4.0.1 and while it still works, I'm staying with it.

It had not occured to me at first that I could pretend 3.6.25 was "new" and I would not have to uninstall 9.0 to reinstall 3.6.25

9.0 sucks in a bunch of ways. apparently it's upgrades have a lot to do
with being able to use it on hand-held devices of which i have none.
