Today I just about finished the mods in the darkroom that will allow
more space for the two enlargers. I built a larger top for the cabinet
upon which the enlargers sit, and secured it pretty well. It's nice and
solid, and the slight wobble that was evident in one of the enlargers is
gone. The original cabinet top was less than flat.

The next step is to paint the plywood top, but being ignorant about
paint, I don't know what kind to get. A hard surface that can be wiped
down with a damp cloth seems appropriate, and maybe a flat black. Can
that be done, or does one preclude the other?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
