I've not been spot metering.  All shooting is in manual mode with a fixed 
lighting distance and visual evaluation on-screen.  And that last part seems to 
be the biggest issue.  This Samsung display is one of the few flat screens that 
I've used which as a clarity similar to a good tube.  (My favorite being an old 
19" SGI.)  The average LCD seems to be the weak link for which I need to 
compensate.
