Interesting. Being ever so slightly aspy, or OCD, or an engineer, I had to find the best JPEG quality for each photo that met the size requirements. It turns out that at some point, there is a huge, nonlinear drop, from just over 4.4 MB, to way under. The changes seem to happen at 91% and 84%: 2.7M 20110406-LRC04748_91.jpg 4.5M 20110406-LRC04748_92.jpg 3.5M 20110617-IMGP5637_80.jpg 3.5M 20110617-IMGP5637_82.jpg 3.5M 20110617-IMGP5637_83.jpg 5.1M 20110617-IMGP5637_85.jpg 5.1M 20110617-IMGP5637_89.jpg 5.1M road_sofa_90.jpg 5.1M 20110617-IMGP5637_91.jpg 7.2M 20110617-IMGP5637_92.jpg 2.3M 20111227-LRC33316_91.jpg 4.7M 20111227-LRC33316_92.jpg 2.3M moonshine_91.jpg 2.7M one_eyed_jack_91.jpg 3.5M road_sofa_84.jpg -- Larry Colen [email protected] sent from i4est -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
