I wear varifocal glasses and have no difficulty seeing using an LCD
for focusing and framing. And of course the K-01 does support
autofocus AND image stabilization so with a change in how you handle
the camera, and some practice, you can do some amazing things with an
LCD viewfinder..

Of course, the lack of an eye-level viewfinder makes it less handy for
hand-held use of very long lenses. 150mm is quite a long focal length
on APS-C format ... I usually find that 135mm is about my limit for
quality hand-held results (sans image stabilization...) and I'm much
more comfortable with 90mm.

This photo was made manually focusing and framing using the LCD with
the GXR-M fitted with 90mm lens:

It's about 1/4 of the total 12 Mpixel frame captured. The original is
very sharp and well detailed, some of that's lost in the down-rez for
the web.

For longer lenses, I use a tripod ...

Ricoh GXR-M fitted with EVF and Micro-Nikkor 200mm on tripod. I often
find that it is easier and more accurate when fitted to the tripod to
ignore the EVF and use the LCD ... but the EVF is useful when I want
to use a lower camera position.

That statement says more about your bias, Larry, than it does about
the camera or its intended audience.
