Funny day yesterday: I didn't set out to take "street portraits" but that's the way it worked out. About an hour after I took "Happy", I bumped into Wesley. He needed $13 to stay at a men's shelter, and after we chatted for a few minutes, I gave him a few bucks. Only then did he ask if I wanted to take a photo, and he seemed genuinely pleased that I did. Not technically perfect (the focus is off a tad - one of us must have moved), I still like the gentleness in his eyes:
