Hopefully you're not getting tired of all these streetcar photos, but I like streetcars, so there! ;-)
Not at all. Two things that I'm not likely to see here are snow and streetcars (trams as we call them). At one stage Sydney had one of the largest tram networks in the world but in the 1950s the politicians decided that buses were the future and ripped the entire system up.
We now have a small and relatively new light rail line to the inner western suburbs and there is continual talk of reinstating trams to the centre of Sydney, but I'm not holding my breath.
We had a light snow a couple of weeks ago (now all melted) and I thought the Long Branch Car looked kind of nice heading through it: http://knarfinthecity.blogspot.com/2012/02/snow-on-lakeshore.html Hope you enjoy. Comments welcome.
Nice wintery feel to that, enhanced by the graininess of the image. -- Cheers Brian ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Brian Walters Western Sydney Australia http://lyons-ryan.org/southernlight/ -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
