Just in case: be careful with those experiments.
If any aircraft (airplane, helicopter,..) will be flying by or somebody
else would report that, you could be in BIG TROUBLE.
I remember reading about some recent law that make pointing a laser in
the sky near an aircraft a criminal offense, borderlining terrorism.
You may want to google and read about that.
