I don't know if you'll be able to see this from overseas but it's
worth a try.
The fate of our Anglican cathedral is to be announced in a few weeks.
It certainly won't be an easy decision as the implications are
substantial regardless of whether they choose to demolish or repair.

I wonder if it would be possible to build an earthquake resistant
structure while retaining the appearance of the old cathedral?
