The rest of the story...
There were two Kooks hopping around and sitting out on branches looking
askance at visitors, etc. the normal stuff. fairly active. I just
happened to grab him running through but pausing in the foliage that was
just about right up against the glass. I got off three frames - you
don't want to see the others :-) before he got from left leaf to the
underbrush to the right. I was at about a 45 degree angle to the glass
but there are two places on the foreground leaves where you can kinda
tell I was on the other side of the glass. HAve about 20 boring shots
with glare, blur, out of focus stuff of the kooks on branches. But
this is the same fella (or his cell mate) that we rejected from the
calendar I made last year - in a different pose.
good morning all

Went to the zoo yesterday- had to get out...
Didn't get much -- most stuff far too soft - spent
frames upon frames on a bufflehead .. ugh
but i was kinda pleased with this kookaburra

Nice shot - Kookaburras are not usually so shy....
Did it give you a laugh? Whenever I hear a Kookaburra laughing, it
immediately brings a smile and I think all's well with the world.
