PFS> I can't speak for its grain and resolution, but in sharpness Konica 800
Hi Paul, I used some of the Konica 800, once. Never more. It simply lacked any shadow detail under a push. I shoot concerts, which are pretty demanding condition. If it lacked shadow detail under +1 push, it means it can't be underexposed by one stop when shot at 800 iso (pushing C41 film means just underexposure, there is NONE speed increase like with B&W or slide films... really! It's PROVEN!). The colours were weird too. Well, if you want to experiment, ok. Otherwise - no no. A friend shooting concerts in colour used Supra 800 now uses some Fuji 800 (either Superia or Press, aren't they the same film anyway?). He pushes it (undexposed plus pushed to get better printable negs than just underexposed and not pushed) to 1600 and claims he gets worse colours (more garish) but better shadow detail than with the Supra (800 pushed to 1600). The difference is slight but visible, according to him. Best regards, Frantisek Vlcek - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
