interesting, if brief, interview; is that an incident meter on the upper left
of her camera?
as for the LCD, i find it simple to ignore it much of the time; once i'm in a
groove with the exposure, i might only occasionally check the histogram or for
shake in longer exposures; but instead of keeping the LCD off i half-press the
shutter to cancel the display (if i'm quick enough); my eye is usually still at
the finder, but if i don't cancel i'll see the LCD flash on; AF is usually off
so a half-press doesn't make any noise; on my K200d, a half-press also returns
control of aperture to the thumbwheel (instead of zooming the preview), so it's
my habit to half-press immediately unless i want a preview
