Is it a bit early for tornados? I know that May/June are when they really pick
up here in MN. February seems... early to me.

It is a bit early, but it seems like we have one out-of-season storm
every year -- sometimes even in December and January. Though typically
they happen April through June -- at least to the extent there's such a
thing as typical west Kentucky weather, anyway. Everyone was fine in
this one, as they had a basement to take cover in. But over in
Harrisburg, IL they got hit pretty hard. So far there are three
confirmed deaths.
