Actually, if the "window" were one with a traditional look, I might be more 
accepting of it. 
There is no basis, however, for allowing this dark edged shape to disrupt the 
unusually pleasing forms flowing from the vine.

Now, that statement may sound more absolute than I actually feel. ;-)

To me the B&W has a 'cleaner' look that I find slightly more appealing than the 
colour version.

The window doesn't offend me.  In fact, I think the image would be far less 
interesting without it.
