The photo works by itself. But if cropping is a necessity, I humbly suggest to also rotate the image to show that the flower is drifting (if it is?).
Its "pistil" (stigma?) leans to the right as if it has a kind of inertia while the flower is pushed to the left. This suggests the water flowing force and the flower movement. By rotating a bit the flower to the right, the effect may be accentuated. Then, cropping the left of the shot moves closer the border where the flower will soon disappear, suggesting a short-lived appearance. Just an idea, maybe better illustrated by a sample if you allow me to do so. --- On Tue, 3/6/12, Larry Colen <[email protected]> wrote: > From: Larry Colen <[email protected]> > Subject: Re: PESO: Adrift > To: "Pentax-Discuss Mail List" <[email protected]> > Date: Tuesday, March 6, 2012, 8:45 AM > > On Mar 5, 2012, at 4:44 PM, [email protected] > wrote: > > > I only rarely make suggestions as to what someone might > do to improve a photo, but I'll make an exception > here. :-) > > > > This is a beautiful photo.
