Outhouses seem like a luxury, right up until you lock yourself in with a frightened raccoon in the middle of the night. After that, a stroll down to the crick doesn't seem quite as taxing.

No dice. It's impossible to get whale oil anymore. I'll just have to set
a fire with a few pages out of the Sears catalog from the outhouse.
