Hi all,

Rather than hang out with friends and drink beer today, I decided to take the K-x out for a stroll. I actually used something besides my A-50/1.7 or K 50/1.4, believe it or not. This time, I used my crusty old Tokina SZ-X 28-200 f/3.5-5.3. I really don't know why I don't use it more often. As far as I'm concerned, it's one hell of a lens -- a much better performer than any of my auto-focus zooms.

I even got a shot of some fungi for Larry.

Nice gallery - especially IMGP5672-1 and IMGP5687-1.

The old barn in IMGP5685-1 is a well composed and appealing image. Could be lots of other potential photos at that site.

Thank you, Brian!

5685-1 is kind of a tricky situation in that I'm not sure exactly who owns the land -- but it's one of two guys: (1) one of the nicest people I've ever known, and one of the biggest assholes I've ever met. I shot it from the roadway and zoomed in to get it so as not to set foot on the bastard's land in case it was his.

One of these days, I'll ask the nice guy if it belongs to him, and I have no doubt he'd let me have the run of the place if it is. He really is good people.
