Quoting Collin Brendemuehl <[email protected]>:
Yesterday an older gentleman where I work -- German by birth -- brought in his camera to show me. Zeiss Ikon Contarex. What a beautiful piece of hardware. 5/2, 35/2, & 135/2.8. Removable film backs. Illuminated finder display. Wheel control of aperture & shutter. And he got it in, iirc, 1962. It's one of those cameras that was a pleasure just to hold.
Was that the original 'bulleye" Contarex? If it was bought in 1962, I guess it would have to be.
I've never 'had the pleasure' - only ever seen pictures of them. -- Cheers Brian ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Brian Walters Western Sydney Australia http://lyons-ryan.org/southernlight/ -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
