I was Pugmeister before Wm Robb and I don't recall any issues with tarting up photos. My approach to HTML was maybe a little more relaxed than under some administrations though - I think I was using an early version of MS Frontpage that coded things a little other than standard. As I recall, the PUG back then was a group effort between myself, Bong Manayon and Rob Studdart. It was a lot of fun bouncing images around the world and then putting them up into a gallery.
