When one keyword in a hierarchy is excluded from export, it also excludes the entire branch of the hierarchy. This is unfortunate, because the root levels are usually the least interesting. Say you have a hierarchy called "geography" for example. Nice placeholder, but hardly interesting as keyword outside of LR. In version 3 you could exclude exactly the terms you wanted, now you have to make the decision for all contained keywords at once.
