When I got my K-5 I tried using AAs in the battery grip while thr main battery was charging (just to get the camera setup done, of course :-) With rechargeable NiMH batteries out of the grab pile, it wouldn't even power on (which gave me a nasty moment ...). Trying with regular alkaline batteries worked, though. Based on that experience I've put a set of regular alkalines in the battery sled, just in case. But with the regular camera battery, and a second one in the battery grip, I don't think I'm all that likely to need AAs as long as the main batteries start off charged; that's enough for considerably more exposures than I'm likely to make before I can get back to somewhere I can plug in the charger. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
