You can get spider 3 software for true spyder2 from Datacolor, and it will work 
with Lion. The sensor supposedly doesn't' work right with LED backlit displays, 
but it did a good job on my IMac 27 until I installed Lion. A Spyder 4, which 
works very well with both Lion and the backlit LED monitor, sells for less than 
a hundred bucks in the Express version. 

I gave my Spyder 2 to the first list member who asked for it for the cost of 
postage, but I suspect they're probably worth $25.
