I read two on line news sources that claimed that his paintings are in one out 
of twenty households in the USA. Surely they mean paintings and (predominantly) 
prints. He couldn't have painted quite that many...

Then, according to Wikipedia it seems that ~he claimed~ that his paintings (and 
prints?) hang in one on twenty households. 

If that figure is anywhere near correct, that means that an astounding 6.5 
million households have his stuff in them.

Hard to believe, but possible.

So, the "Painter of Light" (tm) has passed at the early age of 54 years. The 
Kenny G of painting is gone...
