I know exactly what you mean, Charles. Fine shots, insufficient energy or excitement to recommend them. I bet it was a lot different when TD was 20 years younger and playing huge stadiums. From your wide back of house shots it looks here like he's playing a retirement home.
I've got no end of stage shots of bands that are competent but basically phoning it in. Those shots are locked up in Lightroom, never to be seen. Youthful performers working hard to be noticed are better material. BTW, I like Dolby too and still get a kick out of his tunes.
