I'm warming up to it.. but at first didn't like it at all..

The design eliment that doesn't work is the way the concrete mimics the rails in a dangerous ankle-breaking potential fashion.

And then there are the tourists ;-)

As part of my exercise regimen I walked about 4 miles yesterday - a
fair amount
of it on the Hi-line - no traffic there... from 14th st to
30th st, almost to B&H where I was going to get printer ink... then to
hunt books at the Salvation Army.

i have wanted to see the Hi-Line; i admire the landscapes and gardens of
Piet Oudolf, the designer; thank you for giving me a glimpse of the
design in addition to an interesting slice of life
