Yes.
My *ist DS has a shutter release problem which makes it unusable
unless I plug in a remote cord and release the shutter with that. So,
I bought a used D from Mark C - it was cheaper than repairing the DS.
The D is my back-up camera and occasional walk-around camera.
I may still get the DS repaired - I really like that camera.
