JCO, the vignetting is inherent in the lens design: I didn't crop this one from 
the full
frame at all,.
David, I was never seriously affected by the floods, my suburb is pretty well 
recovered,
but some areas are still being put back together - often due to problems with 
insurance
policies not being paid out.  It's amazing how many definitions of 'flood' 
there are
according to the insurers!
The house on top of the cliff is a very desirable residence, and the price 
reflects it.
It has views which can never be built out.
For those who may not have seen it before, here's a link to a panorama I made 
some four
years ago from the deck of my apartment - and yes, it is a beautiful view, 
especially in
fine weather.

I like misty / foggy mornings like that.  You must have a very nice view from 
there.

One of these days I'll visit Brisbane.  How are you (collectively) recovering 
from the
floods?
