The upgrade policy they announced for CS6 that they were forced to
rescind *WILL* go into effect with CS7.
CS6 you can upgrade from CS4 or CS5 (and for a higher price CS3). But
CS7 will only be upgradable from CS6, otherwise you have to pay full
price again. And I think CS6 is only upgradable from CS3/4 through
December of this year.
Unless things change drastically, CS6 is probably going to be my last
rodeo anyway.

I've used Photoshop CS5 so little I see no point to upgrading yet
again to CS6. It would be a waste of money and disk space for me.

I think Photoshop CS6 launches today.
Yes it did. ?If I had money I'd think about upgrading. ?I hear that phrase
a lot around here so I may as well join in.
if you have a new enough license of any CS product, you can subscribe to CS6
(the whole suite) for $30/month for the first year; for those of us using
more than one CS product (i use InDesign, Photoshop & Acrobat Pro), this can
be a better deal than the straight upgrades
the educational pricing is another alternative
