I'd be interested to hear about the lenses, although I don't know which Dave has. If I were to buy a D800 I'd be thinking of buying either the AF-S NIKKOR 24-120mm f/4G ED VR, or the 70-200mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S VR NIKKOR plus either the 24-85mm f/2.8-4D IF AF NIKKOR or the 28-70mm f/2.8 ED-IF AF-S NIKKOR. All of these seem to be pitched to the top, or close to top, end of the market. If anyone has reasonable experience of them I'd love to hear about it. Also, are the old manual focus lenses good on the D800?
