It's too early yet to tell if I'll have no (meaningful) complaints, but that's the path I went. I'm typing this on my second XP machine (which replaced the older machine after that had served well for seven years). But there's now a W7 box sitting alongside it which will gradually move over into the primary role. Now I just need to put Lightroom on it (the new version of Lightroom not running on XP factored into my decision).
