Understood. And he should abide by ebay rules when on ebay. Nevertheless your comment is irrelevent to the question of theft. That was the accusation found in nearly every post about this subject. If you wish to discuss ebay rules, that is another matter. > I suspect Boz would have been happy to authorize > a link, which would then have been a win-win situation for all > involved. Perhaps so, but he has an acceptable rating, and if he's ever selling something I want, I'll bid. > Further, the idea of presenting an auction image that is not of the item > for sale calls into question the condition and accurate description of > the actual item. I won't buy from a seller that cannot provide his or > her own pictures. Since the item being sold is NEW (not like new, not excellent, not hardly used, NEW) this is entirely irrelevent. When I buy new rifle from Springfield Armory, I am not stupid enough to expect that the item pictured on the site is exactly the same one they will ship to me. Many people sell new items on ebay and use My brother makes high end Adirondack Chairs. You can order them from http://www.steve.blakely.com . I promise you that the photos on the site are not of the ones that you will get. In fact, the green one was sold to Forest Mars (Mars candy bare fame). You will get a different one. New. Boz had every right to do what he did. It's his site after all. But was it wise? Damned if I know. We, after all, are not _directly_ affected by the seller's link. Only Boz is. I can only assume (and hope) that he acted in his best interests dispite the free press and not withstanding all the "egging on" given in this forum. > Bob Blakely wrote: > > > > He has not stolen any images.
