I sometimes have very vivid, weird dreams. I think it might be a side
effect of my medications. Mostly harmless, occasionally entertaining. I
thought I'd share just the ending of this morning's entertainment with
the list.
(As the dream nears its end ...)
I was clinging to a cliff ledge on the side of the hotel elevator
photographing a society brunch in the quarry below with my Pentax Medium
Format digital camera (full frame 645). I was demonstrating to another
photographer the new feature Pentax had come out with where the camera
printed B&W previews up to 8x10 directly from the camera.
It managed this by printing strips about an inch or so wide that
magically adhered along the edges like Velcro. Once the strips
connected, the seam disappeared so completely that the print looked and
felt like a regular 8x10 print on photographic paper.
The camera somehow ratcheted the strips back and forth while printing so
that the image was properly aligned. Just don't touch the strips while
it's still printing, or you'll mess it up.
The idiot I was trying to show it to kept wanting to poke at the photo
while it was still printing. I realized he must be a Canon shooter.
Dream ends, I'm awake lying in my bed. ;-D
