One trip to Africa I took Lariam (anti-malarial). Wild, wild, dreams.
I'm not sure what anti-malarial they gave us in Iraq. Fortunately I didn't experience the major side effect (the runs) everyone else reported.
I don't remember having exceptionally vivid dreams while I was there. Had a lot after I got home.
