Impressive work, Mark! Especially like the vertical pano of the long necked
stork/crane/?.

Subject: GESO - Zoo Shots

I've been away for a while, and along the way I spent a few days in St. Louis,
MO where I had the chance to tour their very nice zoo. Here are are few snaps:

Except for the accidental IR shot, all were taken with the K5 and an older
(non-DG version) Sigma 135-400 f4.5-5.6 APO zoom. This proved to be an ideal
zoom for the zoo, with 135mm being a little too long in just one or two
situations. The K5's high ISO ability and in body IS was also a great asset.
The owl shot was taken handheld inside an aviary at ISO 1600, no flash,  1/45th
of a second at 400mm and still came out pretty sharp - great testament to the
in body IS!
