Paul, 

You are indeed fortunate.  I have gotten cameras with
broken mirrors, lenses that wouldn't focus (a manual
lens that the focusing ring would move, but no change
in focus, very strange), cameras in which the mirror
is hung up, dented lenses, etc.  I ask a lot of
questions before I buy, but it seems everyone is
buying these cameras at an estate sale, and know
nothing about them.  I asked this last guy how the
meter was, and he told me perfect!  Just an out and
out lie.   I might just swear off of ebay.  Maybe then
I will have more time to take more pictures that way.
I mean, how much equipment do you need?  This gearhead
obsession is distracting sometimes.  And mostly due to
this list.

Send it back to the seller and ask for a refund. I've
had two bad ebay
auctions out of about 70. Both sellers refunded my
money without
question. I think that most will. Some people are just
ignorant of what
constitutes good phottographic equipment.
