good details, i'll try to fabricate something, and as a last resort i can glue or wedge in a 58mm ring and use adapter rings from there


Yes, there is just one manual setting (full power :-) so other regulation would
be neutral density filters on the flash or the lens, and exposure control
on the camera (ISO and aperture).

i was thinking a ring of fiber batting might do it; or two rings of polarizing material so i could adjust it; i probably won't usually want full power
