Thanks Derby, and everyone else who looked. I was quite lucky with the spot I chose - I had no idea there was going to be a handover there, and luckily there weren't many people around.
There are some photos of today's relay on the BBC which show some of the more spectacular parts of Greenwich: <http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-18937691> But they are all tightly controlled and closed to oiks like me at the moment. You can see from the BBC pictures how much everything associated with the Olympics has been battened down. The young lad who took the torch in my pictures has just been interviewed on the BBC while I was typing this email. I'll update the captions soon include the names of the torchbearers. The dog was a nice bonus!
