I took possession of a used (but like new) Bigma yesterday (the previous version without IS) and so I'm trying to get the hang of using it. (This may be a long process with a lot of discarded shots). I think I'm really going to like it, however.
On the way to work this morning, a yellow biplane cropduster was working in the middle of a square mile section of field. I turned down a gravel road to try to get a little closer view, which still wasn't all that close. He was at least 1/4 mile from me as he elevated over trees at the end of the field: https://www.flickr.com/photos/pixelsmithy/7704806554/in/photostream/ I like the combination of sharpness and blade blur on this one: https://www.flickr.com/photos/pixelsmithy/7704812012/in/photostream/lightbox/ Playing around in Photoshop and dialing the contrast to "eleven" I got what could be the basis for a neat logo for the guy's Flying Service. https://www.flickr.com/photos/pixelsmithy/7704810086/in/photostream/ I've never been one to go to air shows, but with this lens it might make for a very fun day of target practice. Comments and evicerations welcome (in equal measure). -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
