I really like that middle one. You're right: the combination of sharpness and
propeller blur really works. And the angle of the plane makes for a very
dynamic photo.

Btw, I didn't comment on your ghost sign photo, bit I really liked that one
along with the ensuing conversation. There are still some around Toronto but
they are disappearing fast as old warehouses and factories are ripped down or
"renovated" and turned into loft condos. I should capture some local signs
while they're still around.

Cheers,
frank

Subject: PESO: Biplane Cropduster

I took possession of a used (but like new) Bigma yesterday (the
previous version without IS) and so I'm trying to get the hang of
using it. (This may be a long process with a lot of discarded shots).
I think I'm really going to like it, however.

On the way to work this morning, a yellow biplane cropduster was
working in the middle of a square mile section of field. I turned down
a gravel road to try to get a little closer view, which still wasn't
all that close. He was at least 1/4 mile from me as he elevated over
trees at the end of the field:

I like the combination of sharpness and blade blur on this one:

Playing around in Photoshop and dialing the contrast to "eleven" I got
what could be the basis for a neat logo for the guy's Flying Service.

I've never been one to go to air shows, but with this lens it might
make for a very fun day of target practice.

Comments and evicerations welcome (in equal measure).
