Do you live in a well insulated house? What did the manufacturer of that insulation do with the chemical residues from the manufacturing process, and what environmental damage ensued from extracting the raw materials?
i just had my attic insulation boosted with cellulose from old newspapers; the dust from the installation process was very well controlled, and the fire retardants don't concern me (ammonium sulfate and boric acid)
The same goes for wind & solar. Who builds those big turbines?
Vestas builds turbines and towers in two factories in my state; i understand they are a good employer to work for, though they have just laid off some staff due to uncertainty about wind tax credits
We need to think in terms of efficiency.
