I'm tempted to bet a beer that you dress in such an eclectic fashion that you 
make hipster fashion seem mundane.  I suspect that the reason she thinks 
fashion shouldn't be applied to anything you wear is that by the time it comes 
into fashion, you've already gone on to the next thing, or three. You my friend 
are the ur-hipster.  While most hipsters blindly follow fashion, you blindly 
set fashion.
