For iOS users... I love apps that are both well-regarded and suddenly free. This $7.99 app is FREE as of right now (may be limited time): It is called Video Camera and it bills itself as a Video Studio in your pocket. It claims to have over 1 million users and has 4-1/2 star ratings (out of 5).
I became aware of this great deal (and others) thanks to an app called AppZapp Pro which monitors apps and alerts you to Free Paid Apps and Price Drops on apps. The interface is excellent (you can see what other people think of the app in a "thumbs up/thumbs down" tally and also see the star reviews for both the current version and all versions (aggregated).
