On 27/8/12, Tom C, discombobulated, unleashed: >If a great single image is captured are you saying that's because of >the skill of the videographer? I'd beg to differ. The work produced >was viewed as intended and judged on those merits. > >If I were the videographer, I for one, one would be loathe to pick the >fantastic still image out of 1000's of video frames and proclaim "LOOK >WHAT I DID!". That strikes me as a bit disingenuous (not a personal >attack on you).
I agree. When I reach a location to film in, one of the first things i do is snap an iPhone pic and email it in to the web desk. They always want a still to publish to the web asap. Very very rarely will they take a still from the video. Only if nothing else is available. But that's more through ineptness on their part rather than anything else! -- Cheers, Cotty ___/\__ || (O) | People, Places, Pastiche ---------- http://www.cottysnaps.com _____________________________ -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
