The Ballarat International Foto Biennale is held every two years
(well, I suppose that's obvious....). The next one will be held in
August/September 2013.
A recent initiative is the publication of a new e-magazine called
'BETA - developments in photography'.

I don't know how frequently it's going to be published.
(PS - Ballarat is an inland city in Victoria, Australia).
