Darren, IMPVHO, I consider Mr. Rockwell to be the ultimate proverbial
troll. Here - have a look. He's not a part of this forum but the thread
about him has grown to the considerable size. Granted and thankfully it
hasn't turned to a flame war, but given the amount of talk the mention
of his name provoked, he surely knows how to make people react.
Now, he's entitled to his opinions but more than once he produced things
that are pretty much pure nonsense served to the reader with amount of
aplomb that easily approached infinity.
Hence I took him off my radar, so to speak.
Few Russian forums (which I cursory read) mention his web site (as in
serious exchange) every now and then... Their problem, I say.
You will pardon me for not having read his article about the sharpness.

P.S. BTW, the little Ricoh GXR 50 mm macro module that as I think has no
anti-aliasing filter produces sometimes pretty amazing results in terms
of resolution and sharpness. But the main attractive point for me is
very true and rich color representation and very pleasant tonal
transitions that make the images just look gorgeous.
